Salam Al-Bitar is a 42-year-old woman who lives with her husband in the Jabal Al-Taj area of Jordan’s capital of Amman, where she is devoted to embroidery. The art was a simple hobby for her 20 years ago, but since then, it has developed into one of her greatest successes and passions. In 2008, Salam worked on the embroideries, which evolved greatly to become works of art, decorating the walls of her house. Each masterpiece is composed of beautiful wooden frames of vibrant color and beautiful design. Salam does face challenges in her work, from obtaining high-quality materials to some not appreciating the quality of her work. Perhaps her largest challenge is the marketing of her products.
